Ms. Holguin is a member of the California State Bar and is licensed to practice before the courts of California; the U.S. District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California; the U.S. Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Judicial Circuit. Ms. Holguin was appointed to the Million Dollar Advocacy Forum, whose membership is limited to attorneys who have shown exceptional advocacy skills and achieved settlements or trial verdicts in excess of one million dollars.
Ms. Holguin received her B.A. from the University of San Francisco and her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley (Boalt Hall). Prior to opening her office, she worked as in-house employment counsel for Hughes Aircraft Company when it was the largest employer in California with over 80,000 employees. Ms. Holguin also worked for the State Bar of California as a Senior Trial Counsel, responsible for complex and sensitive litigation, and where a number of her cases resulted in opinions from the California Supreme Court. Ms. Holguin was also an associate with the then known boutique labor firm of Tyre & Kamins in Century City, California where she handled union matters including contract negotiations, grievance and arbitration, NLRB, and federal court work. Ms. Holguin also briefly worked as in-house counsel for Bruce Church, Inc., with labor matters before the ALRB.

Ms. Holguin is a member the Labor and Employment Law section of the Los Angeles County and California Bar Associations. She also is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and the California Employment Lawyers Association (CELA). CAALA emphasizes plaintiff litigation, while NELA and CELA emphasize employment law on behalf of plaintiffs. Ms. Holguin is also a Personnel Commissioner for the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. She has been a speaker on numerous employment law panels and has written articles on employment law.
